Case study of the physiotherapy treatment of a patient after stroke with right hemiparesis

Title: Case study of the physiotherapy treatment of a patient after stroke with right hemiparesis. Aims: The aim of this thesis was to gain theoretical knowledge about stroke and the development of case study of a patient after ischemic stroke with right hemiparesis. Summary: This bachelor thesis deals with the stroke. The thesis consists of two parts. In the general section is described the definition of stroke, anatomy of the blood supply of the brain, epidemiology, classification, risk factors of stroke. The following chapters solve directly the ischemic stroke, its pathophysiology, clinical manifestations and treatment. The conclusion of this part is devoted to comprehensive rehabilitative care for patients after stroke, including a description of appropriate physiotherapy techniques. The special part is about a case study of the physiotherapy care of the patient after stroke with right hemiparesis. This part contains a complete kinesiology analysis, course of treatment and final evaluation. Data for processing the special part were obtained in the term 15.1. - 5. 2. 2016 during the clinical practise in Vršovická zdravotní, a.s. Thesis Name: Kazuistic physiotherapeutic care for patients after a vascular stroke Aims: The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to process and then delineate theoretical and practical knowledge regarding diagnose of a vascular stroke and it's application on detailed kazuistic of a patient with mentioned diagnose. Summary: This bachelor thesis is focused on ischemic vascular stroke of a female patient with side diagnosis of a Down syndrome. The thesis is compiled of two parts. Theoretical part describes definition of a vascular stroke, mechanisms of it's formation, the most important risk factors and the problematic of the most common displaying methods of a vascular stroke. Theoretical part of the thesis also focuses on stadiums after vascular stroke, treatment, rehabilitation in both urgent and sub-urgent chronic phases and also on physiotherapeutic methods used in therapeutic treatment of patients with mentioned diagnosis. Title: Case study of physioterapy treatment of a patient after hemoragic stroke with left hemiparesis. Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to obtain academic findings about stroke concerning anatomy, pathology, therapetuic approaches and methods which can be utilised in cases of stroke. The specific part focuses on the therapeutic care of a patient after hemorragic stroke which was taken during a month practice at Rehabilitation clinic Malvazinky, Medditera s.r.o. Summary: The theory of the thesis discusses anatomy and pathology of human brain in terms of strokes. There is a brief mention of ischemic strokes and a detailed elaboration on hemorraghic strokes. Furthemore, the same part of the thesis epitomizes the risk factors and diagnosis of strokes. There is also a detailed treatise on the physioterapeutic care of stroke. The practice of the thesis introduces a case study of physioterapy treatment of a patient after hemoragic stroke with left hemiparesis. Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient after hemorhgic stroke with right hemiparesis. Objectives: The goal of the thesis was to obtain theoretical information and background on stroke, suicide and therapeutic approaches and methods which can be applied in cases of stroke The specific part aims on the therapeutic care of a patient after suicide attempt followed by ischemic stroke, with whom I worked during one month practise in the Military University Hospital in Prague. Summary: In the theoretical part of my thesis I described anatomy, circulatory system and pathology of human brain, the characteristics of hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke, the epidemiology, clinical manifastation and ways to diagnose and classify them. The principal part focused on therapy after the stroke and physiotherapist's point of view on stroke in general. The theoretical part is concluded by a chapter on suicide. The practical part introduces a case study of the physiotherapy treatment of a patient after suicide attempt followed by ischemic stroke.
